Design Influences
Richard Tubb has stood the test of time with his business and his support of other retailers. Philippe Stark is an influence. The first time I saw the Delano Hotel I nearly fainted. I admire Darryl Carter for his rustic yet refined look. I also get a lot of inspiration from travel, nature, and new design blogs such as www.remodelista.com. I don’t think you can live in Alabama and not be amazed by the talents of Bobby McAlpine and Betsy Brown.
About the Shop
We want Bellewether to represent an ever-changing display of items we are excited about at the moment. We carry fun lines such as environmentally-friendly upholstery by Cisco Brothers as well as Gus Modern Furniture, a fresh modern style at a great price point.
Hot-Ticket Items
Our resin log tables with gold and silver leaf finishes are getting a lot of attention. Infusion Organique candles and our Turkish towels are also promising to be customer favorites.
Must-Haves
A great mix of modern and vintage lighting, lots of books, and black and white photographs. I let space dictate the design, but I always have a mix of antique and modern pieces living happily together. - Mary Clark
